About Us D-2 Inc. Technology Designed to Save Lives
D-2 Incorporated is an innovative industrial sensor manufacturer that was formed in 2004. Since its inception, D-2 Incorporated has set the new standard for conductivity measurement and control for the Petroleum Industry. We started by developing the first direct real time in-line conductivity ASTM Test Method D2624 for the Oil and Gas Industry. These sensors ensure that static dissipative events do not occur thus preventing accidental explosions that can cause injuries or death.
D-2 went on to create the JF-WA1 Hydro-Light Free Water Detector for Aviation Turbine Fuel ASTM Test Method D3240. The Hydro-Light can now be found on every US Military ship, Naval Air Station, and more. The free water detector is also used for civilian use as well. The JF-WA1 and it’s variants are used to certify the fuel is not full of free water and therefore is safe for pilots to use in their aircraft. Thus keeping civilians and military operators safe in the air with our technology.

Fully Automated Injection Systems
D-2 Inc. designs/builds/installs fully automated additive D2624 conductivity control injections systems. D-2 Inc. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality control manufacturer, and we are type certified to build equipment and systems for ATEX Zone 1 and NEC Class 1, Division 1 hazardous areas.
Full Line of Fuel Laboratory Equipment in a Mobile Kit (Peak Kits)
D-2 offers a full line of fuel laboratory equipment that can be run inside a hardened military case. With our PEAK kit aka Petroleum Expeditionary Analysis Kit fuel can be certified anywhere in the world. The kit includes Conductivity, Particle Counting, FSII (Fuel System Icing Inhibitor, Density, Flash Point and Free Water Detection in one mobile case with batteries to run all the tests anywhere in the world. The US Military has decided to use these across all their branches and the US Army and USMC getting the first kits.

Oceanographic Cutting Edge Technology
D-2 has recently re-entered the Oceanographic Community with brand new CTD technology. Developed by Alan Fougere is the world’s first closed field free flowing conductivity cell. Combining the two traditional CTD technologies Inductive Cells and Three Electrode Cells into a new Patented Hybrid Design with two electrodes and inductive drive. This has all the benefits of both types of traditional CTDs with none of the disadvantages. Thus it matches the precision of a pumped system but is also low power, free flowing and completely silent. Perfect for Military AUV, UUV and USV use along with Oceanographic Research applications.

D-2 Inc. has also developed multiple SBIR / STTR projects with a 100% success rate of achieving phase 2 funding.
Most recently D-2 Inc. has introduced a novel new Hybrid CTD design that is new patented technology that is the first new CTD design in thirty years, offering a closed loop conductivity cell that can measure to the bottom of the Ocean floor with it’s extreme accuracy.

D-2 Inc. won multiple awards from NASA for engineering a new inductive couplers. We have worked in collaboration with other companies to develop multiple pieces of equipment to serve a specific industry need.
